Bennie (John) Smith Family

According to Ancestry records, John—birth name recorded in federal census as Bennie or Benjamin F.—was the seventh child of William and Rachel. He married Jennie Lee, and together they had four children: daughters Jessie, Louise, and Odell, and a son, Rance. Sometime between 1940 and 1950, the couple appears to have divorced. By 1950, Bennie was remarried to Pauline and living in Greenville, South Carolina.
