Miles Smith Family

Miles Smith was the thirteenth child of William and Rachel. In the 1910 census, his name was mistakenly recorded as “Miler,” but it appeared correctly in the 1920 census. By 1927, he had left home and was employed by the Knoxville Power and Light Company in Knoxville, Tennessee. According to the Tennessee State Death Record, Miles was tragically killed after being struck by a truck on November 2, 1927. He was listed as 21 years old.  No records were found indicating that he was married or had any children.
